TechLab privacy policy
This document is about the TechLab mobile game. The website itself is covered separately, in the website privacy policy.
Version of 30 September 2026. If the data changes, this page changes with it and carries a new version date.
Controller
Sole proprietor Maxim Vadimovich Goryavin, TIN 665405708860, OGRNIP 325665800219718. Address: Sverdlovsk Region, Yekaterinburg, Starykh Bolshevikov Street, 5. Questions about data: support@mmx-studio.ru.
What the game does not have
There is no registration and no account. The game never asks for your name, email address or phone number. The application requests no permissions for the camera, microphone, contacts, files or location at all. Your progress is a file on your device.
What always leaves the device
This is how the application and the store work. It needs no separate consent and cannot be switched off inside the game.
- Crash and freeze reports through the Tracer service: the error stack, the device model, the OS version and two service marks - whether the game's signature is genuine and where its full version comes from (the store, the save, or none). The report carries no advertising identifier, no game progress and no purchase data.
- RuStore store operations: buying the full version, restoring it and updates. The studio neither sees nor receives your card details - the payment happens entirely on the store side.
- Cloud save of your progress into your RuStore game profile, if you are signed in to the store.
- A technical device identifier used to deliver notifications. It goes away together with reminders in the game settings.
- Showing rewarded ads: the ad network reaches the network on its own and receives the device advertising identifier along with device details - that is how its SDK works, not a choice of ours. Consent changes not whether the identifier leaves, but whether the network may recognise you by it (below).
What leaves only with your consent
The game settings, section “Data”, hold the switch “Help improve the game”. It is off by default. While it is off, nothing below is collected.
- De-identified progression statistics: session length, items discovered, technologies researched, where players get stuck, ad impressions and purchase outcomes.
- A random install identifier - a number the game invents itself to tell one playthrough from another. It is tied to no name, no email and no device.
- Ad targeting: with consent, the ad network may recognise the device by its advertising identifier and pick an ad for you. Without consent it shows the ad without linking it to you: the identifier still reaches the network, but it may not process it to target ads.
Rewarded ads are available either way. They are part of the game, not a price for consent.
Switching the toggle off erases the statistics collected so far and deletes the install identifier. What has already reached the analytics dashboards the studio cannot erase from there - the collection simply stops.
Who receives the data
All recipients are third parties. Every one of them has its own data policy, and its terms apply alongside this page.
| Recipient | What and why |
|---|---|
| RuStore (VK) | purchases and their restoration, the cloud game profile, notifications, install source |
| Tracer | crash and freeze reports |
| Yandex Advertising Network and its mediation partners, VK Ads included | showing ads; it always receives the advertising identifier, and targets ads by it only with your consent |
| AppMetrica | the technical side of serving ads |
| MyTracker (VK) | progression statistics, only with your consent |
Legal basis
Everything listed under “what always leaves the device” is processed under clause 5, part 1, article 6 of Russian Federal Law 152-FZ: without it the game cannot deliver the service itself - sell and restore the full version, update, deliver a notification, tell the developer about a crash.
Everything listed under “only with your consent” is processed on the basis of your consent - clause 1, part 1, article 6 of the same law. Consent is given by the switch in the game settings and withdrawn in the same place. Ad targeting additionally rests on article 15: without prior consent the advertising is not linked to you.
How long it is kept
Your progress is a file on the device and lives until you delete the game. The cloud copy is kept in your RuStore game profile and is removed by the store. The install identifier lives until you switch the toggle off: switch it off and it is deleted together with the collected statistics.
Retention on the recipients’ side is set by each of them in its own policy - the links are in the table above. The studio sets them no periods of its own and therefore does not state any here.
Your rights and how to use them
- Withdraw consent - switch “Help improve the game” off in the settings. Collection stops at once, and the statistics collected so far and the install identifier are deleted from the device.
- Turn off notifications - switch reminders off in the game settings; the technical device identifier stops being used with them.
- Delete local data - delete the game from the device. Remove the cloud copy of your progress in your RuStore game profile.
- Reset the advertising identifier - through your operating system, where it can also be switched off entirely.
- Request information about processing, correction or deletion - by writing to support@mmx-studio.ru. The answer comes within the period set by article 20 of 152-FZ. Data already received by the third parties in the table above is deleted under their own rules: apply to them, the links to their policies are there.
Children
The game is not intended for children below the age given by the store’s age rating, and the studio does not knowingly collect children’s data.
